Start the engine, wait for the radiator fan to turn on, let the engine run without load at 3000 rpm.
When using a tachometer:
1. Disconnect the connector and rubber cover from the crankshaft speed sensor and connect a tachometer.
A - tachometer,
B - connector,
C - cover.
2. Check the idle speed of the crankshaft with the steering wheel in the straight-ahead direction; when outdoor lights, fans and air conditioning are turned off.
- Idle speed (no load, selector in position "R" or "N") — 750±50 rpm
3. Turn on the air conditioner and set the maximum airflow mode, check the engine speed after 1 minute.
- Idle speed (with the air conditioner on; selector in position "R" or "N") — 850±50 rpm
When using a Honda scanner or other:
1. Connect the scanner to a diagnostic socket.
2. Check the idle speed of the crankshaft with the steering wheel in the straight-ahead direction, with the lights, fans, and air conditioning turned off.
- Idle speed (no load, selector in position "R" or "N") — 750±50 rpm
3. Turn on the air conditioner and set the maximum airflow. Check engine speed after 1 minute.
- Idle speed (with the air conditioner on, the selector in position "R" or "N") — 850±50 rpm
If the rpm is out of specification, check the idle system.
