Vacuum brake booster — removal and installation (Honda Fit 1)

1. Remove the brake master cylinder (see section "Master brake cylinder").

2. (Left hand drive models) Remove the fuel vapor canister.



3. Remove the brake pipes (B) from the clamps (C).

4. Disconnect the vacuum hose (D) from the brake booster.

5. Loosen the bolts and remove the stand (A).



6. Remove the cotter pin (A) and pin (B) from the fork. Disconnect the fork from the brake pedal.



7. Loosen the nuts (C) securing the brake booster.



8. Remove the brake booster (A).

Note:

• Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
• Before installing the master cylinder, check and, if necessary, adjust the piston rod clearance.
• After installation:
• pour brake fluid into the brake fluid reservoir and bleed the brake system.
• check and, if necessary, adjust the height and free travel of the brake pedal.
