WARNING: This procedure requires the use of a special tool or equivalent. A Honda Q7975-SA50000 or Q7975-SE00100 pushrod bolt adjuster should be used.
1. Install an adjusting tool on the end of the master cylinder. Adjust the bolt so that the top edge of the tool is flush with the end of the master cylinder piston.
2. Do not disturb the position of the adjusting bolt, place the tool on the amplifier with the top side down. Install the nuts and tighten them to 15 Nm.
3. Install a pressure gauge and T-fitting to the booster vacuum line. With the help of an assistant, start the engine and maintain the engine speed to get 500 mmHg. on the manometer.
4. Use a feeler gauge to measure the clearance between the tool body and the adjusting nut. The required clearance is 0-0.4 mm. If the gap is larger, loosen the star locknut at the rear of the booster; turn the knob to change the position. Tighten locknut securely.
5. Turn off the ignition.
6. Remove the pressure gauge. Remove the adjusting tool.
7. Install the master cylinder.
