1. Check fuse #4 (20A) in the underhood fuse/relay box and fuse #14 (10A) in the under-dash fuse/relay box.
Are the fuses OK?
Yes Proceed to p. 2.
No Replace the fuse and retest.
2. Remove the radiator fan relay from the underhood fuse/relay box and test it.
Is the relay OK?
Yes Proceed to p. 3.
No Replace the radiator fan relay.
3. Measure the voltage between terminal #2 of the 4-pin radiator fan relay socket and ground.
Is there battery voltage?
Yes Proceed to p. 4.
No Replace the under hood fuse/relay box.
4. Short-circuit contacts #1 and #2 of the 4-pin radiator fan relay socket using a jumper wire.
Is the radiator fan working?
Yes Proceed to p. 5.
No Proceed to p. 6.
5. Remove the jumper and turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position. Check the voltage between terminal #3 of the 4-pin radiator fan relay socket and ground.
Is there battery voltage?
Yes Proceed to p. 9.
No Check for an open circuit in the wire between the underhood fuse/relay box and the under-dash fuse/relay box.
6. Disconnect the 2-pin connector from the radiator fan motor.
7. Check for continuity between terminal #1 of the 4-pin radiator fan relay socket and terminal #2 of the 2-pin radiator fan motor connector.
Is there conductivity?
Yes Proceed to p. 8.
No Repair open circuit in the wire between the underhood fuse/relay box and terminal #2 of the radiator fan motor 2-pin connector.
8. Check for continuity between terminal #1 of the 2-pin radiator fan motor connector and ground.
Is there conductivity?
Yes Replace the radiator fan motor.
No Check for open circuit in the wire between terminal #1 of the 2-pin radiator fan motor connector and ground. If the wire is OK, check to see if the ground on the G201 is good.
9. Reinstall the radiator fan relay.
10. Disconnect the 2-pin radiator fan switch connector.
11. Short-circuit contacts No. 1 and No. 2 of the 2-pin radiator fan switch connector using a jumper.
Does the radiator fan switch work?
Yes Replace the radiator fan switch.
No Proceed to p. 12.
12. Remove the jumper and measure the voltage between contact No. 2 of the radiator fan switch connector and ground.
Is there battery voltage?
Yes Check for open circuit in the wire between terminal #1 of the 2-pin radiator fan switch connector and ground. If the wire is OK, check to see if the ground on the G201 is good.
No Repair open circuit in wire between terminal #2 of radiator fan switch and underhood fuse/relay box.
