Caution: Do not open the radiator cap when the engine is hot, as The coolant is under pressure and may spill out. After the coolant has cooled down, cover the cap with a cloth and slowly open it.
1. Place the radiator cap tester on the cap, pressurize (up to valve opening pressure) and check if the pressure is held for 6 sec.
Caution: Apply coolant to the seal before installing the tester on the cap.
- Pressure: 93-123 kPa (0.95t 1.25 kg/cm2)
2. If valve opening pressure is not as specified or pressure is not maintained, replace radiator cap.
