Right hand drive models
1. Turn off the air conditioner. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position.
2. Check the voltage between terminal "6" of the ECU connector and ground. If the voltage matches the battery voltage, replace the ECU and repeat the check. If the voltage does not match the battery voltage, check the circuits between the fans and the ECU.
Note: The test is performed with the connector connected.

Left hand drive models
Note: Do not use this troubleshooting algorithm if the air conditioner compressor is not working.
1. Remove and check the cooling fan motor relay and the condenser fan motor relay from the relay box. If the relays are faulty, proceed to step #2. If the relays are faulty, they must be replaced.
2. Install the cooling fan motor relay and the condenser fan motor relay to the relay block.
3. Short-circuit terminal No.12 of the electronic fuel injection system control unit connector to ground.

4. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position.
If the fans rotate, check that the air conditioning electronic control unit connector does not have poor contacts, otherwise replace the air conditioning electronic control unit. If the fans do not rotate, repair the open circuit between the injection system electronic control unit and the fan motor relay.
