Checking the steering wheel play (Honda CR-V 2)

1. Set the front wheels to the straight-ahead position.

2. Measure the distance the steering wheel can be turned left and right without moving the front wheels.

• If the play is within normal limits, the steering gear and steering drive are in order.
• If the play exceeds the specified norm, adjust the steering rack guide. If the play is still excessive after adjustment, check the steering linkage and steering gear.

Steering wheel play: 0-10 mm
