Note: Wear protective gloves.
1. Remove the following components:
- Door panel.
- Plastic lid (if necessary).
- Protective cover for the lock rod.
- Central lower guide on the driver's door with central locking.
2. Raise the glass fully.
3. On models without central locking and with central locking (from the passenger side): Pull out the glass guide channel (A) as far as necessary. Remove the bolt, then remove the center lower guide (B) by pulling it downwards.

4. Disconnect the outer handle rod and the cylinder rod.
5. On models without central locking: Remove the lock (A). Do not bend the outer handle rod (B), cylinder rod (C), lock rod (D) and inner handle rod (E). The illustration shows a Honda lock (the Mitsui lock is similar).
- Remove the inner handle rod from the holder (F).
- Disconnect the connectors (G).
- Remove the screws.
- Remove the lock through the hole in the door.

6. On models with central locking: Remove the lock (A). Do not bend the outer handle rod (B), cylinder rod (C), lock rod (D) and inner handle rod (E).
- Remove the inner handle rod from the holder (F).
- Disconnect the connector (G) and set it aside. Remove the harness clamps (H).
- Remove the screws.
- Remove the lock through the hole in the door.

7. The lock is installed in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- Make sure the electric drive connectors are inserted properly and the rods are connected securely.
- Make sure the door locks and unlocks properly.
