14. Installation of the outer handle is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following.
  • Make sure the cylinder switch harness is routed properly (on some models).
  • Make sure the cylinder switch connector is inserted securely (on some models) and the rods are connected properly.
  • Make sure the door locks and unlocks properly.
  • When installing the lock cylinder, leave the outer handle bolts loose so that the inner protective cover does not interfere with the installation of the lock cylinder, then tighten the handle bolts.
  • Place the lock cylinder retaining clip onto the handle, then insert the lock cylinder. Make sure the clip is fully seated in the slot on the lock cylinder.
