Rear oil seal — removal and installation (Honda CR-V 1)

1. On CR-V and 4-cylinder Odyssey models, remove the transmission; on V6 Odyssey models, remove the powertrain and remove the transmission.

2. Remove the drive disc (on cars with automatic transmission), or flywheel (on cars with manual transmission).

3. Pry and remove the seal from the holder.

4. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Clean the holder and press in the new seal using a mandrel without distorting it. Do not lubricate the outer part of the seal before pressing it in. Lubricate the crankshaft journal with technical petroleum jelly (the use of other lubricants is prohibited!).
