The switch is mounted on the right side and covered with a cover. On some vehicles, the reverse light switch is part of a combination switch that also includes a transmission neutral position lock switch and a gear engaged indicator. The switch is adjustable.

1. Apply the handbrake and move the transmission selector to position N.

2. Remove the cover from the switch.

3. Disconnect the connector from the switch.

4. Loosen the bolts and remove the switch.

5. When installing, set the switch to the neutral position; when moving the switch to the neutral position, a click should be heard.

6. After completing the assembly, check that the switch is installed correctly by turning on the ignition and moving the selector to different positions, making sure that the gear shift indicator lights are on in all positions. Check the operation of the switch by lighting up the reverse lights when the lever is moved to the Reverse position, make sure that the engine starts only in the transmission selector position N or P.
