Replacement
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Warning! If the car stereo system is equipped with a security code, make sure you have the correct combination to activate the audio system before disconnecting the battery!

2. Loosen the lock nut and release the accelerator cable from its bracket.

3. Turn the throttle shaft crank and remove the cable end from its groove in the lever.

4. Under the instrument panel in the driver's footwell, disconnect the accelerator cable from the gas pedal lever.
5. Release the rubber grommet from the engine compartment bulkhead, then pull the cable assembly into the engine compartment.
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Make sure that the cable bushing is correctly seated in the hole in the engine compartment bulkhead. Select the slack in the cable, then proceed to adjust it.
Adjustment

The accelerator cable is adjusted as follows:
- a) Take up the slack in the cable;
- b) Rotate the accelerator cable adjusting nut (B) to a distance of 3.2 mm from the cable support bracket;
- c) Tighten the lock nut (A) and estimate the amount of sag in the cable on the throttle rod - the deflection should be 9.5÷12.7 mm, otherwise loosen the lock nut and adjust the position of the adjusting rod in the appropriate direction;
- d) After completing the adjustment, ask an assistant to manipulate the gas pedal and make sure that the throttle valve is fully opened and returns to the idle position properly. Check the freedom of movement of the cable.
