1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

Warning! If the car stereo system is equipped with a security code, make sure you have the correct combination to activate the audio system before disconnecting the battery!


2. Release the pressure in the fuel system (see Section Relieving pressure in the fuel system).

4. Remove the fuel tank access cover mounting bolts.

5. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the assembly. Release the quick connect connector latches and disconnect the fuel lines.

6. Loosen the pump assembly mounting nuts.

7. Carefully remove the assembly from the fuel tank.



8. Disconnect the fuel pump assembly wiring.

9. Use pliers to squeeze the fuel hose fastening clamps - remove the upper clamp, move the lower one to the middle of the hose, completely releasing the pump nipple.

10. Remove the fuel intake filter element from the lower end of the assembly.

11. Separate the pump from the support bracket.

12. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Do not forget to replace the sealing gasket of the assembly mounting flange.
