2. Turn the piston and pull it out with the cover. Be very careful not to damage them.

3. After removing the retaining ring, remove the washer, adjusting spring and nut from the piston.
4. Carefully remove the piston seal.
5. Install Honda tool 07960-SAS0002 or equivalent between the caliper body and spring guide.
6. Turn the special tool shaft to compress the adjusting spring; remove the retaining ring with special pliers.

7. After releasing the spring, remove the spring cover, adjusting spring, gasket, bearing and adjusting bolt.

8. Remove the sleeve piston; remove the pin from the cam.
9. Disassemble the return spring, parking nut, spring washer, lever, cam and cam boot.
To install:
10. After cleaning and checking all parts for wear or damage, apply rubber grease to the needle bearing. Coat the new cam boot with the same grease and install it in the caliper.
11. Install the cam with the threaded part facing up.
12. Install the lever, spring washer and parking nut. Tighten the nut to 28 Nm.
13. Install the return spring.
14. Install the pin into the cam. Install a new sealing ring onto the sleeve piston.
15. Install the sleeve piston. The hole in the base of the piston should be flush with the pin in the cam; the two pins on the piston must be aligned with the holes in the caliper.
16. Install the new cap with the groove facing the adjusting bolt on the bearing side.
17. Install the bearing, gasket, adjusting spring and spring cover onto the adjusting bolt. Install the bolt into the cylinder bore.
18. Insert tool 07973-SA50000 (Rear Caliper Guide) or equivalent into the cylinder. The slot on the tool should be flush with the tab on the spring cover.
19. Install the spring compressor (used in Step 5) and compress the spring to the end.
20. Remove the caliper guide. Make sure that the protruding end of the spring cover is below the groove of the snap ring.
21. Install the snap ring. Make sure it is installed correctly, then remove the puller.
22. Install the adjusting nut, spring and washer onto the piston and secure with the retaining ring.

23. Coat the new piston seal and boot with silicone grease and install them in the caliper.
24. After lubricating the outside of the piston, install the piston on the adjusting bolt by turning it clockwise. Be very careful not to damage the piston boot.
25. Install the shoe retainer.
