2. Remove the rear wheel and brake drum.
3. Accord 1990-91 remove the upper return spring from the brake shoe.
4. Remove the spring pins by depressing the retaining springs and turning the pins.
5. Lower the brake shoe assembly and remove the lower return spring.
6. Remove the brake shoe assembly.
7. Disconnect the parking brake cable from the lever.
8. Remove the top return spring, lever and self adjusting spring. Remove the brake pads.
9. Remove the wave washer, parking brake lever and pivot pin from the brake shoe by removing the U-bracket.
10. Apply brake cylinder lubricant to the sliding surface of the pivot pin and insert the pivot pin into the brake shoe.
11. Install the parking brake lever and wave washer on the pivot pin and secure with a U-bracket.
12. Attach the parking brake cable to the parking brake lever.
13. Apply grease to all sliding surfaces of the baseboard.
14. Clean the threaded portions of the adjusting bolt stops. Coat the thread with grease. Turn the adjuster bolt to shorten the stops.
15. Attach the adjusting spring first to the regulator lever, then to the brake shoe.
16. Install Assembly "adjusting bolt - stops" and top return spring.
17. Install the brake pads on the base plate.
18. Install lower return spring, resilient pins, and retainer springs.
19. Accord 1990-91 attach the top return spring.
20. Turn the adjusting bolt to tighten the brake shoes until the brake drum begins to move with difficulty. Then loosen the adjusting bolt just enough to allow the brake drum to turn freely.
21. Install the wheel; lower the car to the ground.
22. Depress the brake pedal several times so that the brake adjusts itself. Adjust the parking brake.
