Except Accord 1990-91
1. Raise and secure the vehicle.
2. Remove the wheel.
3. Disconnect a support from fastening. Secure it to the side with a piece of wire. Do not leave hang the caliper on the brake hose.
4. Remove the caliper mounting.
5. Loosen the two 6mm screws and remove the brake disc. If the disc is difficult to remove, install two 8mm bolts into the threaded holes and tighten them evenly and alternately to prevent the rotor from popping out.
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
1990-91 Accord
1. Remove the spindle nut pin, then loosen the nut.
2. Raise and secure the vehicle.
3. Remove the wheel. Loosen the spindle nut.
4. Remove the caliper and secure it to the side. Do not let the caliper hang on the brake hose. Remove the caliper mount.
5. Remove cotter pin and tie rod ball nut. Disconnect the link from the steering knuckle using a ball joint splitter.
6. Remove the cotter pin and loosen the lower arm ball nut to half the thread length. Separate the ball joint and lower arm using a suitable puller. Now remove the nut.
7. Move the steering knuckle back and remove the outer CV joint from the knuckle using a plastic hammer.
8. Remove the 4 bolts securing the hub assembly to the steering knuckle and remove the hub assembly.
9. Remove 4 bolts, then separate the hub assembly from the rotor.
For installation:
10. Attach the disc to the hub block and tighten the bolts to 55 Nm.
11. When installing the hub to the knuckle, use new self-locking bolts and tighten them to 45 Nm.
12. When installing the steering knuckle, tighten the top nut to 44 Nm and the lower ball joint nut to 55 Nm. Install a new pin.
