Note:
- For best results, heat the cylinder head to 150°C before removing or installing the guides.
- Some guides may require a nail gun to remove.
1. Knock out the valve guide from the bottom of the cylinder head.
2. Drive the new valve guide bushing to the required depth.
Valve guide height after installation:
- Inlet: 17.85-18.35 mm
- Issue: 18.65-19.15 mm
Deployment
Note: For new guide bushings only.
1. Apply lubricating oil to both the reamer and the guide bushing.
2. Turn the reamer clockwise the entire length of the valve guide.
3. While removing the reamer from the guide bushing, continue to rotate the reamer clockwise.
4. Wash the guide thoroughly with detergent and water and remove any residue.
5. Check the clearance using the valve (see above). Make sure the valve moves freely in the guide bushing.
Note: Rotate the reamer clockwise only.
