(Left hand drive models with automatic transmission)
1. Drain the automatic transmission fluid (see chapter "Maintenance and general inspection and adjustment procedures").
2. Remove the right drive shaft (see section "Front drive shafts").
3. Remove the cover.
4. Turn away bolts of fastening of an arm.
5. Disconnect the intermediate drive shaft (A) from the gearbox output shaft.
Note: When removing, keep the intermediate drive shaft in a horizontal position so that the sharp shaft splines do not damage the oil seal (IN) gearbox output shaft.
(Right hand drive and 4WD models)
1. Drain the automatic transmission fluid (variator) (see chapter "Maintenance and general inspection and adjustment procedures").
2. Remove the right drive shaft (see section "Front drive shafts").
3. Turn away bolts of an arm (A and B).
4. Disconnect the intermediate drive shaft from the gearbox output shaft.
Note: When removing, keep the intermediate drive shaft in a horizontal position so that the sharp shaft splines do not damage the gearbox output shaft oil seal.
