Working fluid temperature sensor (Honda Fit 1)

Welding



1. Pull out the parking brake lever, place chocks under the rear wheels and jack up the front of the car.

2. Remove the mudguards.

3. Disconnect the transmission shift solenoid connector.

4. Measure the resistance between terminals "6" and "7" of the connector.
  • Resistance - 50 Ohm - 25 kOhm

If the resistance is not within the normal range, replace the working fluid temperature sensor.

Replacement



1. Pull out the parking brake lever, place chocks under the rear wheels and jack up the front of the car.

2. Remove the mudguards.

3. Disconnect the solenoid valve connector.

3. Disconnect the solenoid valve connector.


4. Unscrew the drain plug (A), remove the gasket (B) and drain the automatic transmission fluid.

5. Install a new gasket and tighten the drain plug.

6. Loosen the bolts and remove: cover, valve solenoid (A), pins (B) and gasket (C).

7. Disconnect the connectors from the shift solenoid valves, unscrew the bolt and remove the connector (E) with the wires. Remove the O-ring (F).

A - electromagnetic valve «A» of gear shifting,

A - electromagnetic valve "A" of gear shifting,
B - electromagnetic valve "B" for gear shifting,
C - electromagnetic valve "C" for gear shifting,
D - electromagnetic valve "D" of gear shifting,
E - connector,
F - O-ring seal.


8. Install the new O-ring onto the connector.



9. Connect the white-orange connector to the solenoid valve "B".

Note: The working fluid temperature sensor is built into the white-orange connector.


10. Connect the connectors to the solenoid valves according to the connector colors.

11. Install the pins and gasket on the solenoid valve cover. Install the cover and tighten the bolts.
  • Tightening torque - 12 Nm

12. Make sure that the solenoid valve connector is free of rust, dirt and oil and connect the connector.

13. Fill the gearbox with oil (see chapter "Maintenance and general checking and adjustment procedures").

14. Install the wheel arch liners.
