a) Apply the parking brake and place chocks under the wheels.
b) Check the following parameters:
- engine coolant level;
- engine oil level;
- automatic transmission fluid level;
- ignition timing angle;
- idle speed.
2. Connect the scan tool to the DLC (A).
3. Make sure the air conditioner is turned off.
4. Start the engine and let it warm up (the engine cooling fan should turn on).
5. Move the selector lever to position "2" (models without manual shift mode) or "S" (second gear engaged) (models with manual shift mode).
6. Press the brake pedal all the way down. Press the accelerator pedal all the way down.
Note: The duration of each check should not exceed 8 seconds.
7. Quickly read the tachometer readings when the engine speed reaches its maximum value and compare them with the specified values.
8. Move the selector to the "N" position and let the engine run at idle speed for at least 2 minutes to cool the automatic transmission fluid.
9. Repeat the test with the selector in the ranges "D", "1" (models without manual gear shift mode), "S" (first gear engaged) (models with manual gear shift mode), "R".
Rotation speed with the vehicle fully braked:
- nominal value - 2500 rpm
- permissible range of values is 2450 -2750 rpm
If the rotation speed with the vehicle fully braked does not correspond to the established standards, determine the malfunction using the table "Troubleshooting based on the results of the test with the vehicle fully braked".
