Note: Checking clearances should be carried out at an engine temperature of 10-40°C.
1. Remove the cylinder head cover.
A) Remove intake manifold (see chapter "Intake and exhaust system").
b) Remove ignition coils.
V) Turn out a bolt of fastening of an arm of conducting and disconnect a hose of system of ventilation of a crankcase.
G) Remove the cylinder head cover.
2. Set the piston of the first cylinder to TDC. At the same time, the label "UP" on the crankshaft sprocket must point upwards, and the recesses on the sprocket must lie in the plane of the cylinder head.
3. Select the appropriate valve clearance feeler gauges.
Probe for measuring gaps in the drive:
- intake valves - 0.15-0.19 mm
- exhaust valves - 0.26-0.30 mm
4. Place a feeler gauge between the adjusting screw and the valve end. Move the probe back and forth until you feel a slight resistance.
A - measuring probe.
5. If there is too much or no resistance, loosen the lock nut and adjust the gap with the adjusting screw.
6. Tighten locknut and recheck clearance. Adjust it if necessary.
- Tightening torque - 14 Nm
Note: Apply fresh, engine oil to the locknut.
7. Set the piston of the third cylinder to TDC. At the same time, the label "3" on the crankshaft sprocket must point upwards, and the notch on the sprocket must lie in the plane of the cylinder head.
8. Check and, if necessary, adjust the clearance in the valve actuator of the third cylinder.
9. Set the piston of the fourth cylinder to TDC. At the same time, the label "4" on the crankshaft sprocket must point upwards, and the notch on the sprocket must lie in the plane of the cylinder head.
12. Check up and if necessary adjust a backlash in a drive of valves of the second cylinder.
13. Establish a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.
- A) Thoroughly clean the gasket and the gasket groove of the cylinder head cover.
- b) Install the gasket in the cover.
- V) Make sure the contact surfaces are clean and dry.
- G) Apply a 3 mm bead of sealant to the chain cover.
Note: Parts must be installed within the time specified in the instructions for use of the sealant. Otherwise, the sealant must be removed and reapplied.
- d) Install the cylinder head cover. By moving the cover back and forth, install the gasket in place,
- e) Check cover washers. Replace damaged ones.
- and) Tighten the bolts in 2-3 passes.
- Tightening torque - 12 Nm
- h) Install the wiring bracket bolt and install the crankcase ventilation hose.
- And) Install the ignition coils.
- To) Install the intake manifold.
- l) Make sure all hoses, tubes and connectors are properly connected.
- m) After assembly, wait 30 minutes before adding engine oil.
