Disassemble and assemble the brake caliper using the assembly drawing "Brake caliper".
Note: When installing, use only new piston dust boot, piston seal and gaskets.
Brake caliper.
1 - piston sealing cuff,
2 - piston,
3 - anther,
4 - guide pin,
5 - caliper bracket,
6 - retaining plate insert,
7 - anther,
8 - guide pin,
9 - outer gasket,
10 - brake shoe,
11 - inner lining,
12 - brake caliper,
13 - bleed nipple,
14 - brake shoe spring.
Disassembly
1. Place a wooden block inside the caliper. To push the piston out, apply compressed air through the cylinder inlet.
Caution: To prevent the piston from unexpectedly jumping out of the cylinder, supply compressed air into the cylinder carefully.
2. Remove the dust boot (A) and sealing cuff (B) from the brake cylinder.
Caution: Do not damage the inner surface (C) of the brake cylinder.
Assembly
1. Apply special silicone brake grease to the new sealing cup (A) and install the cup into the groove of the caliper cylinder as shown in the figure.
2. Apply a special rubber-friendly lubricant to the new boot (B) and install it into the caliper cylinder as shown in the figure.
3. Lubricate the inner surface of the brake cylinder with brake fluid and install the piston.
Note: The dust boot must fit into the piston groove.
