Installing the rear brake pad support (Honda Fit 1)

1. Apply grease to the boot (B), guide pin (A) and caliper bore (C). Install the boot onto the guide pin, then install the guide pin.

2. Install the brake pads (the installation procedure is described in the subsection "Replacing brake pads").

3. Install the brake caliper (A). Hold the guide pin (B) with a wrench and tighten the bolts:
  • Tightening torque - 23 Nm

4. Connect the brake hose (C) to the caliper (A) using the washers (E) and tighten the bypass bolt (D).
  • Tightening torque - 34 Nm

5. Connect the parking brake cable (A) to the caliper lever (B). Position the cable in the bracket and install the retainer (C).

6. Bleed the brake system (see section "Bleeding the brake system").
