1. Check fuse #11 (30 A) of the relay box and fuse #10 (7.5 A) of the fuse box. If the fuses are OK, proceed to step #2, if the fuses are bad, replace them and repeat the check.

2. Connect the diagnostic tester to the data link connector (DLC).

3. Turn on the engine.

4. Turn on the air conditioner.

5. Make sure that the electromagnetic clutch is working. If the electromagnetic clutch does not work, go to step #6, if the electromagnetic clutch works, go to step #7.

6. Using the diagnostic tester, make sure the system parameters match those listed in the table.

6. Using the diagnostic tester, make sure the…

If the parameters match, proceed to point No.7; if the parameters do not match, you should perform diagnostics and fix the problem.

7. Remove the electromagnetic clutch relay from the relay block and check it. If the electromagnetic clutch relay is OK, then proceed to step #8, if the electromagnetic clutch relay is faulty, then it should be replaced.

8. Measure the voltage between terminal No.2 of the electromagnetic clutch relay connector and ground.

8. Measure the voltage between terminal No.2 of…

If the voltage matches the battery voltage, proceed to step #9, if the voltage does not match, replace the relay unit.

9. Short-circuit terminals No.1 and No.2 of the electromagnetic clutch relay connector with a jumper.

9. Short-circuit terminals No.1 and No.2 of the…

If the electromagnetic clutch has worked, proceed to point #10; if it has not worked, proceed to point #18.

10. Remove the jumper from terminals No.1 and No.2 of the electromagnetic clutch relay connector.

11. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position.

12. Measure the voltage between terminal No.4 of the electromagnetic clutch relay connector and ground. If the voltage matches the battery voltage, proceed to step No.13; if it does not, repair the open circuit between fuse No.10 (7.5 A) of the fuse box and the electromagnetic clutch relay.

12. Measure the voltage between terminal No.4 of…

13. Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position.

14. Install the electromagnetic clutch relay.

15. Make sure the air conditioner is turned off.

16. Short-circuit terminal No.18 of the electronic fuel injection system control unit connector to ground.

16. Short-circuit terminal No.18 of the…

17. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position. If the electromagnetic clutch has worked, check the reliability of the connector of the electronic control unit of the injection system; if the connector of the electronic control unit of the injection system is in good condition, it may be necessary to replace the electronic control unit of the injection system. If the electromagnetic clutch has not worked, eliminate the open circuit in the wires between the electromagnetic clutch relay and the electronic control unit of the injection system.

18. Remove the jumper from terminals No.1 and No.2 of the electromagnetic clutch connector.

19. Disconnect the electromagnetic clutch connector.

20. Check the conductivity between terminal No.1 of the electromagnetic clutch relay connector and terminal No.2 of the electromagnetic clutch connector.

20. Check the conductivity between terminal No.1…

If there is continuity, check the electromagnetic clutch gap, thermal fuse circuit, and electromagnetic clutch inductor. If there is no continuity, repair the open circuit between the electromagnetic clutch relay and the electromagnetic clutch.
