Attention. Observe fire safety regulations.
1. Remove the cover of the left inspection hole in the luggage compartment.
2. Depressurize the fuel tank by opening the fuel filler cap.
3. Remove the fuel hose from the intermediate tank and attach a hand vacuum pump to the injection pump tube.
4. Make sure the ignition key is in the OFF position and connect the PGM-Fi main relay connector.
5. Connect a jumper wire to the black/yellow wire and red/white wire.
6. Turn the ignition key to the ON position (II) and check that the hand vacuum pump gauge shows a vacuum of 4.0 kPa (30 mmHg Art.) and higher.
Standard vacuum: 4.0 kPa (30 mmHg Art.) and higher
If the vacuum is within limits, check the tube and filter on the side of the intermediate tank for patency.
Injection pump performance decreases at the same time as battery voltage and fuel pump performance decrease, so if there is a problem with the injection pump, check fuel pump performance at the same time.
