Removal/installing the VTEC solenoid valve (Honda CR-V 2)

1. Disconnect the 2-pin connector from the VTEC solenoid valve.

2. Models KG, KS, KE, KR, KU (Hong Kong):

Disconnect the 2-pin connector from the VTEC oil pressure switch.

3. Measure the resistance between terminals No. 1 and No. 2 of the VTEC solenoid valve connector.

Resistance: 14-30 Ohm

4. If the resistance is within the normal range, remove the VTEC solenoid valve assembly (A) from the cylinder head and check whether the VTEC solenoid valve filter (B) is clogged. If it is clogged, replace the solenoid valve filter, engine oil filter and engine oil.
