Withdrawal
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Attention! If the stereo system installed in the car is equipped with a security code, before disconnecting the battery, make sure that you have the correct combination to activate the audio system!
2. Disconnect the wires from the BB spark plugs, remove the support brackets and move them to the side. Disconnect the wiring from the oil temperature sensor located on top of the rear cylinder head cover, closer to the timing belt.
3. Remove the upper inlet pipeline (see Section Removal and installation of the inlet pipeline).
4. On the left side of the rear head cover, disconnect the PCV hose and remove the steering pump hose support bracket bolt. Move the hose to the side.
5. Disconnect a ventilating hose from the left wall of a cover of a back head of cylinders. Take the hose aside.
6. Turn out fixing bolts and remove a cover of a head of cylinders. If cover "got used to" and does not lend itself to separation from the head, gently tap it with a hammer through a wooden spacer.
Attention! In no case do not try to separate the cover by pulling it on the mating surface - any mechanical damage to the latter can lead to the development of leaks.
7. Remove the old gasket and sealing washers, then carefully clean the mating surfaces of the head and cover. Check the condition of the PCV valve (see chapter Settings and ongoing maintenance) and return it to its regular place on the head cover.
Installation
1. Lay a new gasket in its mounting groove, put the sealing washers on the mounting bolts.
2. Establish a cover on a head of cylinders, screw fixing bolts and tighten them in three stages with the demanded effort.
Note. Sealing washers and their contact points with the cover and head before installation, it would be reasonable to lightly lubricate with soapy water.
3. Install the remaining components in the reverse order of their dismantling.
