Switch for controlling the operation of windshield cleaners

The rotary end switch handle is located at the end of the combined windshield wiper/washer control lever on the right steering column stalk. There are three windshield wiper modes:
- a) When the end handle is moved to the first position (INT), the interval mode of operation of the windscreen wipers is activated;
- b) The second position (--) corresponds to continuous low-speed operation of the brushes;
- c) By selecting the third position (=), the continuous high-speed mode is switched on. In the interval mode, there are pauses of several seconds between the working cycles of the windshield wipers, which may vary slightly depending on the speed of the vehicle: the pauses between the working cycles are shorter when the vehicle is moving and longer when it is stopped. In the second and third positions of the switch, the windshield wiper operates continuously.

Additionally, there is the option of quickly starting the windshield wipers for several working cycles - you should press the switch lever down. In this case, the windshield wiper will work at maximum speed until the lever is released. This mode is convenient because it allows you to quickly restore adequate visibility through the windshield, for example, after overtaking or passing an oncoming car on a dirty and wet road.
Turning on the windshield washers

The windshield washers are turned on by pulling the right steering column switch lever towards you. When the lever is pulled, the pump immersed in the washer fluid reservoir is turned on, and fluid will be continuously supplied to the windshield through special nozzles. The supply of fluid stops when the lever is released.
Note: Several wiper cycles usually occur simultaneously with the fluid supply.
Switching off headlight lens wipers and washers
The headlamp wipers/washers are initiated automatically at the same time as the windscreen washers, provided that the exterior lighting is on.
The fluid is supplied to the headlight lenses from the same reservoir as to the windshield.
