Removal and installation the rear shock absorber assembly with a coil spring (Honda Accord 6)

1. Loosen the wheel nuts, jack up the rear of the car and place it on stands. Remove the rear wheels.



2. To provide access to the upper support of the rack.



3. Loosen the upper support mounting nuts.

Note: Only the two side nuts need to be loosened - the large middle one should be left tightened.

4. To provide free working space, loosen the mounting nut and release the upper end of the corresponding anti-roll bar strut.



5. Remove the lower shock absorber support bolt.



6. Pull down on the rear hub assembly and remove the shock absorber assembly from the coil spring from under the vehicle.

7. The description of the procedure for checking the condition of the shock absorber assembly components is similar to that described in Section Replacing the shock absorber or coil spring of the strut assembly for assembling the front suspension.

8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Make sure that all fasteners are tightened to the required force.
