2. Remove the shock absorber assembly with the coil spring (see Section Removal and installation the front shock absorber assembly with a coil spring). Remove the ABS wheel sensor bracket from the upper suspension arm.

3. Remove the cotter pin and loosen the upper control arm support ball joint nut. Do not remove the nut completely yet to avoid the arm separating from the steering knuckle.
4. Using a 2-jaw puller, separate the upper control arm from the steering knuckle. Remove the castle nut (try not to let the knuckle fall out, tie the assembly with wire if necessary).
5. Remove the upper control arm pivot bolts and remove the upper control arm assembly from the vehicle.
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Ensure that the required tightening forces are observed. Note. Do not forget to replace the cotter pin securing the ball joint crown nut (see Note to paragraph 3 of Section Removal and installation the steering knuckle).
