1. Turn off the ignition. Remove the screws securing the under-dash fuse box to the bracket. Remove the fuel cut relay from the back of the fuse block and rotate the block so you can see the relay mount.
2. Connect a jumper between the two leftmost contacts on the relay mount - pin 1 to pin 2.
3. Disconnect the fuel line at the fuel filter in the engine compartment and connect a pressure gauge.
4. Turn the ignition key to position "ON"; when the pressure on the pressure gauge stabilizes, return the key to the position "OFF".
5. The pressure should be 18-23 kPa. If the pressure is below the minimum, the pump must be replaced.
6. Disconnect the pressure gauge and direct the line to a drain container. Have an assistant turn the ignition key to position "ON" for 60 seconds, then turn off the ignition.
7. In 60 seconds, at least 760 ml of fuel should run up.
8. If the volume is less than specified, replace the pump.
9. Remove the jumper in the fuse box. Install the fuel cut relay and attach the fuse box in place.
