Startup Leak Solenoid — 1984-87 Prelude (Honda Accord 3)

1. Disconnect vacuum hose #20 from the vacuum manifold tubes near the emission control unit.

2. Without turning on the ignition, create a vacuum in the hose. If a vacuum is not achieved, replace the electromagnetic valve.

3. If the connected vacuum pump still shows vacuum, turn the ignition key to the "START" position. The vacuum should disappear. If it does not, check for voltage at the valve (with the ignition key in the "START" position). If there is voltage, replace the valve.
