2. Turn off the engine and compressor. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.
3. Carefully drain the refrigerant.
4. Remove the power steering mounting bolt, adjusting bolt, bracket and belt. Remove the power steering pump, but do not disconnect any fluid hoses.
5. Loosen the cruise control drive mounting bolts, disconnect the wiring connector and remove the drive. Do not bend or weaken the drive cable.
6. Remove the generator harness clamp and disconnect the generator harness.
7. Remove the generator mounting bolt, adjusting bolt and regulator bracket. Remove the compressor belt and then the generator.
8. Disconnect the condenser fan motor and silencer connectors. Disconnect the connector from the compressor. Remove the fan mounting cover and fan.
9. Disconnect the suction and discharge hoses from the compressor. Seal the lines and joints immediately to prevent dirt from entering.
10. Loosen the compressor mounting bolts and remove the compressor. If necessary, remove the bracket from the engine.

To install:
11. If the mounting bracket has been removed, install it and tighten the bolts to 50 Nm.
12. Install the compressor; tighten the mounting bolts to 25 Nm.
13. Connect the hoses to the compressor, tighten the mounting nuts to 30 Nm.
14. Install the condenser fan and connect the electrical wiring connectors.
15. Install the alternator. Install the alternator/compressor belt and adjust it correctly.
16. Connect the generator wire harness and secure the harness clamp.
17. Install the cruise control drive.
18. Install the power steering pump and belt; adjust the belt tension.
19. Fill the system with refrigerant and release air.
