2. Carefully drain the refrigerant.
3. On 1984-87 vehicles, remove the grille. On later vehicles, remove the front bumper.

4. On 1988-91 vehicles, remove the hood latch assembly and set aside.
5. Disconnect the line and hose from the condenser. Hold all joints with a second wrench if necessary. Do not damage the condenser. Immediately cover the joints and channels to prevent dirt from entering
6. Remove the condenser mounting bolts. Remove the condenser from the vehicle. On 198487 vehicles, remove the upper radiator mount mounting bolts and move the mount slightly to obtain the required clearance.
To install:
7. Before installation, make sure the rubber grommets for the bottom condenser mounts are present and properly installed.
8. Place the capacitor in its mounting location. Install the mounting bolts and tighten them to 10 Nm.
9. Replace the O-rings and connect the line and hose.
10. Install the hood latch assembly if it was removed.
11. Install the grille or front bumper.
12. Fill the coolant and bleed the system. Check the system for proper operation.
