Lower suspension arms — removal and installation (Honda Accord 3)

1. Raise and securely support the vehicle. Remove the front wheels.

2. Support the hub and knuckle assembly with a jack. Use a ball joint puller to separate the lower control arm ball joint. Be careful not to damage the seal.

3. Remove the stabilizer bar mounting bolts.

4. Remove the lower arm pivot bolt.

5. Remove the lower control arm. Check the bushings for wear or deterioration. Replace the bushings if there is any sign of wear. Even if the bushings are not replaced, clean them and the bolt shafts; dirt and corrosion can cause seizing.

6. Installation is performed in the reverse order. Tighten the lower suspension arm to chassis mounting bolt to 55 Nm.
