Attention. Put marks on the removed parts so that during subsequent assembly they can be installed in their original places.
From the side of the inner hinge
1. Remove the ring clip from the inner pivot.
2. Remove the clamps without damaging the boot.
If the collars of the covers are welded, bite them.
If the clamps are of the double loop type, bend the fold of the clamp and press the end of the clamp into the retainer with a screwdriver.
3. Apply alignment marks and disconnect the hinge.
4. Remove the ring clip.
5. Mark the rollers and d-pad, and remove the rollers from the d-pad.
6. Mark the cross and drive shaft, and remove the cross from the drive shaft.
7. To prevent damage to the boot, wrap the splines of the drive shaft with vinyl tape.
8. Remove the boot from the drive shaft.
9. Remove the vinyl tape.
From the side of the outer hinge
1. Using a screwdriver, carefully, without damaging the cover, bend 3 tabs each on the clamps from the hinge side and from the drive shaft side and remove the clamps.
2. Slide the outer hinge cover towards the inner hinge.
3. Remove grease from the hinge.
4. Substitute a ruler and put a label on a power shaft, having designated position of an end face of the external hinge.
5. Wrap a cloth around the drive shaft and clamp it in a vise.
6. Install the special tool on the outer joint and remove the joint from the drive shaft.
7. Remove the drive shaft from the vise.
8. Remove the circlip from the drive shaft.
9. In order not to damage the cover, wrap the splines of the drive shaft with vinyl tape, remove the clamp (Omega type) and remove the cover.
10. Remove the vinyl tape.
