From the inner hinge side
1. Remove the ring clamp from the inner joint.

2. Remove the clamps without damaging the cover.
If the cover clamps are welded, cut them off.
If the cover clamps are of the double loop type, bend the bend of the clamp and press the end of the clamp into the retainer using a screwdriver.

3. Apply alignment marks and disconnect the joint.

4. Remove the ring clamp.
5. Mark the rollers and crosspiece and remove the rollers from the crosspiece.
6. Mark the crosspiece and drive shaft and remove the crosspiece from the drive shaft.

7. To avoid damaging the boot, wrap the drive shaft splines with vinyl tape.
8. Remove the boot from the drive shaft.
9. Remove the vinyl tape.

From the outer hinge side
1. Using a screwdriver, carefully, without damaging the cover, bend back 3 tabs on the clamps on the hinge side and on the drive shaft side and remove the clamps.

2. Slide the outer hinge cover towards the inner hinge.

3. Remove grease from the joint.
4. Place a ruler and make a mark on the drive shaft, indicating the position of the end of the outer joint.

5. Wrap the drive shaft in cloth and clamp it in a vice.
6. Install the special tool on the outer joint and remove the joint from the drive shaft.

7. Remove the drive shaft from the vice.
8. Remove the retaining ring from the drive shaft.

9. To avoid damaging the boot, wrap the drive shaft splines with vinyl tape, remove the clamp (Omega type) and remove the boot.

10. Remove the vinyl tape.
