3. Replace the drain plug with a new washer and fill with the recommended oil.
Oil requirements
Always use fuel economy oil that has "API Service SG, SH or SJ" written on the packaging.
SAE Viscosity: See table below.
Filling capacity
Models for Europe, Australia and South Africa:
- 3.0 l when changing oil without filter.
- 3.3 l when changing oil with filter.
- 3.7 l after engine repair.
Except for European, Australian and South African models:
- 3.3 l when changing oil without filter.
- 3.6 l when changing oil with filter.
- 4.3 l after engine repair.
Replacement interval
Models for Europe:
- Every 15,000 km or 12 months (under normal operating conditions)
- Every 7,500 km or 6 months (under severe operating conditions)
Models for Australia:
- Every 10,000 km or 12 months (under normal operating conditions)
- Every 5,000 km or 6 months (under severe operating conditions)
Except for European and Australian models:
- Every 7,500 km or 6 months
Viscosity of motor oil according to the SAE scale for different ranges of ambient air temperatures:
4. Fill the engine with oil to the required level, start the engine and let it run for more than three minutes, then check for leaks and the oil level.
