Fully braked test* (stall test)
This test checks the performance of the variator and engine by measuring the speed at maximum load in the ranges "D" And "R".
Note.
- Carry out the check at the operating temperature of the working fluid of the variator (50-80°С).
- Turn off the air conditioner before checking.
- The duration of each check should not exceed ten seconds.
- Carry out checks only on the specified positions of the selector.
- Do not carry out checks with pressure gauges connected to carry out a hydraulic test.
1. Place wheel chocks.
2. Connect a tachometer.
3. Apply the parking brake.
4. Start the engine.
5. Warm up the engine to operating temperature (until the radiator fan of the cooling system turns on).
6. Move the selector to position "D".
7. Press all the way down on the brake pedal.
8. Fully depress the accelerator pedal. Quickly read the tachometer reading and compare it with the indicated values.
Rotational speed with a fully braked vehicle (range "D"):
- nominal - 2500 rpm
- limit - 2350-2650 rpm
9. Wait approximately two minutes before performing the next check so that the variator does not overheat.
10. Do the same for the bands "S", "L", "R".
Rotational speed with a fully braked vehicle:
L13A
range "R":
- nominal - 2500 rpm
- limit - 2350-2650 rpm
ranges "L" And "S":
- nominal - 3000 rpm
- limit - 2800-3100 rpm
L15A
range "R", "L" And "S":
- nominal - 2500 rpm
- limit - 2350-2650 rpm
11. If the measured values do not correspond to the nominal values, then determine the possible malfunction according to the table "Fully braked test (stall test) ".
