2. Start the engine. Maintain RPM at 3000 rpm (min⁻¹) without load (in Park or Neutral position), until the radiator fan comes on, then let it idle.
3. Check the idle speed.
4. Warm up and calibrate the CO meter according to the manufacturer's instructions.
5. Check the CO concentration at idle speed with the headlights, fan, rear window defroster, cooling fan and air conditioner turned off.
CO content:
Models with TWC: max 0.1%
Models without TWC: max. 1.0±1.0%
- If the CO content is higher than the standard: Models without TWC: Adjust by turning the adjusting screw.
- If the specified CO concentration cannot be achieved by this procedure, check the engine tuning.
