1. Drain the refrigerant.
2. Disconnect the adjustment cable from the valve.
3. Place a drain pan under the valve, especially on an Accord with an interior valve. Loosen and remove the hose clamps from the valve. Disconnect the hoses from the valve.
4. If the valve is screwed with a screw or bolt, then unscrew it. Remove the valve.
To install:
5. Reinstall the valve. Attach the hoses with new clamps and secure with the bolt. Note that the hose clamps are very difficult to secure when working under the dash in a 1984 or 1985 Accord.
6. Connect the control cable.
7. Fill and bleed the cooling system.
