1. Remove the temperature and fan control knobs.
2. Remove the heater control panel cover.
3. Remove the instrument cluster panel.
4. Remove the center air outlet.
5. Unscrew the 4 screws securing the pushbutton block and gently pull it out. Disconnect the switch wires.
6. The fan switch can be removed separately if desired by unscrewing the mounting bolts and removing the switch.
7. If the temperature control lever needs to be removed, first remove the radio. Disconnect the air mixer cable in the heater box (not on the lever) and remove the unit.
To install:
8. Assemble and install individual components (fan switch or temperature control cable) if they were disassembled.
9. Connect the wiring harness and install the push-button control unit. Screw in and tighten the mounting screws.
10. Install the central air outlet
11. Install the instrument panel shield.
12. Close the control panel lid; install control handles.
