
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
2. Remove the steering wheel.
3. Remove the lower cover. Remove the driver's knee bolster, if present.
4. Remove the top and bottom covers of the column.
5. Disconnect the wire clamps from the combination switch. Remove the turn signal bushing and combination switch.
6. Remove the cover from the steering joint and remove its bolt(s).
7. Disconnect all wire clamps from the fuse box on the left side of the instrument panel.
8. Remove the steering column mounting brackets.
9. Remove the nuts securing the flexible guide plate and the plate itself (part of the tilt steering wheel assembly) and remove the steering column assembly.
To install:
10. Place the column in place and attach the console, flexible plate and guide. Tightening torque of the nuts is 22 Nm.
11. Install the steering joint bolts and tighten them to 22 Nm.
12. Connect the wiring in the fuse box.
13. Install the switches and connect the wires.
14. Install the knee bolster and steering wheel. The steering wheel nut tightening torque is 50 Nm.
