2. Set the selector lever to position R.
3. Turn off a nut of a tip of an operating cable.
4. Turn the ignition key to the ON position (II) and check the R indicator that the automatic transmission is in position R.
If the automatic transmission is not in position R, press the control cable all the way down, then pull it up one position and release.
5. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.
6. Secure the selector lever in position R with a 6 mm dowel pin through the holes.
7. Push the end of the cable with the square hole onto the appropriate section of the threaded stud, secure the cable and tighten the nut.
8. Remove the dowel pin.
9. Move the selector lever to all positions and check that the indication is correct.
10. Start the engine and re-move the selector lever to all positions and make sure that the control cable is adjusted correctly.
11. Using the ignition key, press the shift lock mechanism and check that the lock is released. Also check that the lock is activated when the key is removed.
