6. Start the engine, set the selector lever to position N or P, bring the engine speed to 2000/min and measure the pressure in the line.

If the selector lever is in a position other than N or P during measurement, the test result will not be reliable.

7. Check the pressure in the couplings, see table.

1st gear clutch pressure

Set the selector lever to range 2, press the Low Hold switch and engage range L. Keeping the engine speed at 2000/min, measure the pressure in the 1st gear clutch.

2nd gear clutch pressure

Press the Low Hold switch and switch off the L range. Set the selector lever to range 2. Keeping the engine speed at 2000/min, measure the pressure in the 2nd gear clutch.

  • (5) Slowly press the accelerator pedal for 5 seconds, bringing the engine speed to 2000/min. (shifts from 2nd to 3rd and from 3rd to 4th gear).
  • (6) Measure the pressure in the 3rd and 4th gear clutches.

8. After completing the check, install new sealing washers and tighten the bolts to 18 N·m (1.8 kg·m).
