Attention:
- Install the jack and supports under the car only in the places intended for this.
- For safety, place the removed wheel under the side sill at the rear of the jack.
- Do not damage the paintwork of the fender guard.
- Remove the automatic transmission slowly so as not to touch the e / wiring.
1. Disconnect the cables from the battery.
Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal first.
2. Remove the mounting bar, battery and battery tray.
3. Remove the battery cable clamps from the base under the pallet, move the negative cable to the side.
4. Remove the battery tray base.
5. Remove the air duct and air cleaner housing.
6. Unscrew the drain plug and drain the automatic transmission oil.
7. Replace the sealing washer and screw in the drain plug.
8. Disconnect the starter wires and release the breather hose and radiator hose from the clamps.
9. Disconnect the wire «masses», as well as connectors for solenoids A and B of pressure in the automatic transmission clutch, the output shaft speed sensor and the pressure switch in the 3rd gear clutch. Release e/conducting from a clip.
Keep water, oil, etc. out of the connectors.
10. Disconnect a socket of the e/valve of blocking of the hydrotransformer and e/valve A of a gear change.
11. Disconnect the automatic transmission oil cooler hoses from the tubes, plug the hoses and tubes with plugs. Secure the hoses with the holes facing up so that oil does not spill.
12. Disconnect sockets e/valves In and With a gear change, remove a clip e/conducting.
13. Disconnect a socket of the gauge of turns of an intermediate shaft and remove a clip of e/conducting.
14. Remove from a rack and disconnect a socket of the switch of the lever of the AKP selector.
15. Disconnect the 2nd clutch pressure switch connector and remove the strut.
Do not let water, oil, etc. get inside the connector.
16. Turn off fastening bolts of a case of AKP.
17. Turn off bolts of a forward arm.
18. Remove the mudguard.
19. Remove cotter pin and unscrew ball joint nut. Remove the bolts of the longitudinal link from the lower arm and remove it from the steering knuckle, see ch. Front and rear suspension.
20. Unscrew the shock absorber bolt and remove its fork, see ch. Front and rear suspension.
On 2WD models, remove the plugs on the left and right side.
On 4WD models, remove the plug on the right side.
21. Apply alignment marks to the front and rear beams on the left and right sides.
22. Release from clips of a tube of the amplifier of a steering and remove racks of a forward beam and a beam.
23. Disconnect the right and left drive shafts from the differential and intermediate shaft (4WD models).
Wrap the splines of the drive shafts with plastic bags to keep oil and dirt out.
24. 4WD Models: Remove intermediate shaft.
Wrap the splines at both ends of the shaft with plastic bags to keep oil and dirt out.
25. Remove the torque converter cover and control cable, unscrew the drive plate bolts.
2WD Models
(1) Remove the torque converter cover.
(2) Unscrew the bolts of the rack, cable and remove its cover.
Before removing the cover, be sure to unscrew all the rack bolts.
(3) Remove the lever from the steering axle. Disconnect the cable from the shaft.
Do not bend the cable too much during removal.
(4) Turn the crankshaft pulley and unscrew the bolts of the drive disc.
4WD Models
(1) Remove the torque converter cover.
(2) Remove the cable cover and unscrew the rack bolts.
(3) Remove the shift axle, then remove the lever from the control axle and disconnect the control cable.
Do not bend the cable too much during removal.
(4) Turn the crankshaft pulley and unscrew the bolts of the drive disc.
(5) Disconnect the propeller shaft from the transfer case.
Apply alignment marks to the propeller shaft and transfer case.
26. Attach the hooks and raise the engine.
27. Support the automatic transmission with a jack.
28. Turn off bolts and nuts of brackets of fastening of AKP.
29. Turn off fixing bolts of a rack of an inlet collector.
30. Turn off bolts of a back arm.
31. Make sure that all tubes and e / wiring are disconnected from the automatic transmission.
32. Support the automatic transmission with a jack, slide it off the cylinder block so that the 14 mm long dowel pins move away, lower it and remove it from the bottom side.
33. Remove the torque converter from the automatic transmission.
34. Remove the starter from the automatic transmission.
