Attention. Store drained fuel in a safe place. Observe fire safety regulations.
Withdrawal
1. Disconnect (-) battery cable.
2. Relieve fuel pressure (see above).
3. Depressurize the fuel tank by opening the fuel filler cap.

2WD Models:
Open the trunk lid, remove the inspection hole cover and disconnect the fuel pump 5-pin connector. (On models with a navigation system, remove the TV receiver).
4WD Models:
Open the trunk lid, remove the inspection hole covers, and disconnect the fuel pump 4-pin connector and the intermediate fuel pump 2-pin connector.
5. Remove the fuel pump and use a hand pump to drain the fuel.
6. Raise the vehicle, remove the rear wheels and release the parking brake.
7. 2WD Models:
Remove the resonator behind the catalytic converter (see ch. Mechanical part of the engine).
4WD Models:
Remove the resonator behind the catalytic converter (see ch. Mechanical part of the engine), remove driveshaft B from the rear differential (see ch. Drive shafts and differential).
8. Disconnect the fill tube and breather tube.
9. 2WD Models:
Disconnect tubing with quick couplings (see above) and a tube for the removal of fuel vapors:
4WD Models:
Disconnect the tubing with quick coupling (see above), fuel filter (see above) and a tube for the removal of fuel vapors.
10. Disconnect the 2-pin ABS wheel sensor connector.

2WD Models:
Remove the rear stabilizer, insulator and parking brake cable brackets.
4WD Models:
Remove the rear stabilizer and parking brake cable brackets.
12. Remove the parking brake cable.
13. Turn off a fixing bolt of an arm of a brake hose. Loosen the brake caliper mounting bolts and remove the brake caliper.
14. Pass the brake caliper between the rear suspension links and attach to the rear suspension spring.
15. Turn off the bottom bolt of a back shock-absorber.
16. Support the rear suspension with a jack, unscrew the mounting bolts, strut bolts and slowly lower the rear suspension.
17. Turn off fixing bolts and remove bandage of a fuel tank.
