Checking the Low Fuel Warning Light (Honda Avancier 1)

1. Check the transmitting unit (see above).

If it is in good condition, check according to point 2.

If it is faulty, replace it (see above).

2. Turn the ignition key to the ON (II) position.

3. Set the float to position "E" and check that the low fuel indicator light comes on.

If the indicator lamp lights up, perform the check according to item 4.

If the indicator lamp does not light, check the electrical wiring between the sending unit and the instrument cluster for open circuits and short circuits.

4. Set the sender unit float to the ½ or "F" position and check that the low fuel indicator lamp goes out.

If the indicator light goes out, the system is working properly.

If the indicator lamp does not go out, check the electrical wiring between the transmitter unit and the instrument cluster for open circuits and short circuits.
