Attention:
- The pump is made of aluminum alloy, so do not drop or damage it.
- Place a cloth underneath when securing the pump in a vice.
- Before assembly, thoroughly clean the pump components from dirt and dust, and during assembly, ensure that no foreign particles enter the pump.
- Make sure the seals are oriented correctly. Point the groove side into the oil chamber.
- Replace unused components with new ones.
- Do not flush seals and O-rings with flushing oil.
- To improve component sliding and to lubricate components during initial operation, apply clean Honda Ultra-V or Ultra PSF-II Power Steering Fluid to the components.
- When installing the O-rings, apply clean Honda Ultra-V or Ultra PSF-II Power Steering Fluid to the indicated areas and be careful not to squeeze or move them.
1. Rotate the pulley and drain the steering fluid from the pump.
2. Clamp the pump in a vice and loosen the pulley nut while holding the pulley with a metal rod.
Caution: Do not damage the pulley and pump body with a metal rod.


3. Remove the pulley.
4. Unscrew the plug and remove the ring clamp, spring and adjusting valve.
5. Remove the pump cover and remove the cover seal.
6. Remove the outer pressure plate, cam, rotor, 10 blades, pressure plate and O-ring from the pump body.
7. Remove the retaining ring, hit the end of the pump drive shaft with a plastic hammer and remove the shaft.
8. Remove the washer and pump seal.
9. Remove the retaining ring and remove the intermediate valve from the housing.
