Attention:
- The pump is made of aluminum alloy, so do not drop or damage it.
- Use a cloth to secure the pump in the vise.
- Before assembly, thoroughly clean the pump components from dirt and dust, and during assembly, make sure that foreign particles do not enter the pump.
- Follow the correct direction of the oil seals. Guide the grooved side into the oil chamber.
- Reuse components that are not used, replace with new ones.
- Do not flush glands and O-rings with flushing oil.
- Apply clean Honda Ultra-V or Ultra PSF-II Steering Fluid to improve component slip and to lubricate components in the early stages of operation.
- When installing O-rings, apply clean Honda Ultra-V or Ultra PSF-II Steering Fluid to the areas indicated and keep them from squeezing or moving.
1. Rotate the pulley and drain the steering fluid from the pump.
2. Clamp the pump in a vise and loosen the pulley nut while holding the pulley with a metal rod.
Attention. Do not damage the pulley and pump housing with the metal rod.
3. Remove the pulley.
4. Unscrew plug and remove o-ring, spring and control valve.
5. Remove the pump cover and remove the cover seal.
6. Remove the outer pressure plate, cam, rotor, 10 vanes, pressure plate and O-ring from the pump housing.
7. Remove the circlip, tap the end of the pump drive shaft with a plastic mallet, and remove the shaft.
8. Remove washer and pump seal.
9. Remove the circlip and remove the intermediate valve from the body.
