Regulating valve
1. Check the valve surfaces for damage. If there is dirt on the mesh, remove it.

2. Install the control valve into the housing and check that it moves smoothly in the housing.

3. Immerse the valve with the attached tube in the steering fluid or flushing oil and apply air under pressure below 98 kPa (1.0 kg/cm²). If air bubbles come out of the valve, replace the valve.
Caution: If the valve needs to be replaced, replace the pump assembly as the piston is matched to the housing.
