7. 6x1.0 mm, 12 Nm (1.2 kgf/m)
8. ATF FLUID PAN
9. ATF PAN GASKET. Replace
10. REFERENCE PIN
Warning!
- Make sure lifts, jacks and safety stands are installed correctly (see chapter 1).
- Set the parking brake and block the rear wheels so that the vehicle does not roll off the stands and fall on you while you are working underneath it.
Caution: When removing and installing the lower valve body assembly, do not allow dust or other foreign objects to enter the gearbox.
1. Raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely.
2. Apply the parking brake and chock both rear wheels.
3. Remove the drain plug and drain the transmission fluid. Screw the plug back into the drain hole, installing a new sealing washer (see above).
4. Disconnect the ATF cooler feed hose from the cooler tube. To prevent ATF fluid from leaking, turn the end of the hose upward, then plug the hose and tube.
5. Remove the front right support/bracket.
1. 10x1.25 mm, 54 Nm (5.5 kgf/m)
2. 10x1.25 mm, 44 Nm (4.5 kgf/m)
3. FRONT RIGHT SUPPORT/BRACKET
4. ATF COOLER FEED HOSE
5. ATF COOLER FEED PIPE
6. Remove the ATF cooler feed pipe bracket bolt.
7. Remove the ATF pan (14 bolts).
8. Disconnect the ATF cooler feed pipe from the ATF fluid pan.
9. Remove the ATF filter and clean it.
10. Make sure the ATF filter is in good condition.
11. If the ATF filter is clogged, replace it (picture below right).
12. Install the ATF filter in the reverse order of removal.
Note:
- During installation, replace the following components:
- O-ring seals
- ATF fluid pan gasket
- Sealing washer
